“The Maker, The Master, & The Archer”

MYSTERY RANCH and Modern Huntsman Chronicle the Traditional Bow and the Journey it Provides

Bozeman, MT. (July 29, 2020) – MYSTERY RANCH, an industry-leading backpack company devoted to making mission-specific packs recently launched “The Maker, The Master & The Archer” in Collaboration with Modern Huntsman.

This story chronicles the lives of Buddy Gould, Tom Clum and MYSTERY RANCH’s own Ryan Holm. It offers a glimpse into how the traditional bow has impacted each of their lives in different but significant ways. Holm, the author of the story, details his journey from beginning to end, learning the craftsmanship of traditional bows, the art and challenge of shooting a traditional bow and the culmination of this all while in the field pursuing Montana elk.

“The traditional stick bow is a curious object. It is immensely powerful as a weapon, it can kill, and as an artistic tool it can expose the strengths and failings of the artist. But all of that power lies outside the bow itself. One of the oldest, simplest technologies opens up a world for the projection of skill and the shooter's development.
