BOWdometer teams up with Amanda Lynn Mayhew for Women’s Range Day

Meaford, Ontario, Canada, – The BOWdometer Team was proud to support Women’s Range Day, helping educate 72 women from across Ontario about archery skills and safety. The event is part of Amanda Lynn Mayhew’s Range Day series and was filmed for her television show THAT Hunting Girl™., a top-performing outdoor show airing on the Sportsman Channel Canada.

Mayhew is an award-winning outdoorswoman who has dedicated her life to Hunting and Outdoor Lifestyle education. She has been hosting Range Day events across Ontario for a decade. The October 2021 event has been dedicated to women looking for a safe space to learn about and try out firearms, including stations dedicated to Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle and Archery. It took place at the East Grey Hunters & Anglers Association in Meaford, Ontario and featured an education session from Tracey Wilson, VP of Public Relations at the Canadian Coalition for Firearms Rights (CCFR).

“The purpose of Range Day is to teach women about firearm products, management and safety, which will filter down to the younger generations. It’s not just about shooting – it’s about lifestyle, community and socializing with friends,” said Mayhew, the Creator and Host of the Range Day program. “Having the BOWdometer Team here was an obvious choice since their product is built for motivation and community and aligns with the spirit of this event.”

BOWdometer is a proud sponsor of Mayhew and proudly ran the archery station, introducing the sport to girls of all ages and skill levels. Of course, there were BOWdometers on the practice bows that were tracking each shot taken, showing that the women at the event shot over 1200 arrows. Attendees of the event received gift bags and raffle prizes including apparel from Just Hunt (Mayhew’s custom outdoor clothing brand), CCFR and more. 3 lucky winners got to take home a BOWdometer Practice Companion as part of the raffle.

“At our core, BOWdometer’s brand focuses on community and connection for archers everywhere,” says Marianne Bell, Co-founder of Toxon Technologies, the company that created BOWdometer. “Events like this help bring new people into the sport and give us a chance to share our vision with the world. Amanda Lynn hosts well-organized, empowering events that people return to over and over again as volunteers and attendees. It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of her community.”
