Archers Win Big in Vegas with Easton X27 Arrows

Las Vegas- February 4, 2023- A record number of participants—just short of 4,500 archers from across the globe—converged on the 58th Vegas Shoot, setting a new attendance record. Archery’s richest payday boasted a $58,000 cash prize for the winner of the Open Championship event.

One man and three arrows withstood the grueling shootdown with an astounding 45 straight perfect X-rings needed to be the last man standing and take the top spot on the podium. Twenty-year-old Matthias Fullerton of Denmark showed nerves of steel by repeatedly punching the X-ring with the Easton X27 to secure the win over Jacob Marlow. With the tightest specifications in the industry and the steely confident shots of Matthias, each of the three X27’s in his quiver found that diminutive x-ring, again and again, as a crowd of 7,000 spectators watched in tense silence, punctuated by roars of approval as each end was scored.

“I had the confidence that my equipment could do the job, so all I had to do was relax and shoot each shot,” said Fullerton, the latest Easton shooter to win the prestigious 58-year-old event. Easton shooters are estimated to comprise more than 97% of Vegas winners over the history of the Vegas Shoot, and this year was no exception. Fullerton was joined on the podium by a fellow Easton teammate who took third also shooting the X27 arrow.
