Scholastic 3-D Archery Breaks Previous Participation Record For 7th Annual Vegas National Championship

Williamsburg, KY – On February 1st, 2024, Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA), in conjunction with the National Field Archery Association (NFAA), held the 7th annual S3DA Vegas National Championship at the South Point Hotel and Casino in

Las Vegas, Nevada. S3DA had record-breaking participation with more than 350 registered archers from 74 teams and 31 states across the nation competing for the title of “National Champion” in their respective division and class. Collegiate archery programs from across the United States sent archery scholarship certificates to be presented to the Young Adult archers during the awards ceremony. Many of the participants that we spoke with said this was a favorite event that provided them a great experience to better prepare for NFAA’s The Vegas Shoot!

S3DA Executive Director, Holly Helton said, “The S3DA Vegas National Championship is an opportunity for youth archers to literally compete against peers from across the country, receive collegiate archery opportunities, and most of all, have fun! We are very appreciative of NFAA working with us as the registration for our event has boomed the last couple of years. In 2023, we were able to expand from only half of the Priefert Area to both sides and this year we nearly exceeded that capacity. Having a mutually beneficial working relationship with your partnering organization is a beautiful thing and we look forward to continuing to provide youth archery opportunities together for the foreseeable future.”

S3DA now looks forward to the Eastern Indoor National Championship on February 29th–March 3rd, 2024 at the Owensboro Convention Center in Owensboro, Kentucky as well as the Western Indoor National Championship on

March 23rd–24th, 2024 at the Easton Archery Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you are an S3DA youth participant and interested in either of these events, you can register via Sport:80 today! If you would like to learn more about the S3DA program or the opportunity to compete in these events, please visit the S3DA website or the Facebook page.

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA youth participate in 3D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Youth members can participate at regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of youth archers.
