Memphis, Michigan —Prime Archery®, by G5® Outdoors—the leading manufacturer of premium, technologically advanced, archery equipment and bows, is proud to report that Prime Archery Pro Staff member Kenny Lantz has taken home top honors in the Open Pro Division at the ASA Foley, AL Pro/AM event this past weekend.

Lantz, a Pennsylvania native, was competing in his first 3D competition of the season. While the nasty winter weather was not ideal for training or practice, Kenny took the lead on day one and went on to qualify first for the 5 person shoot off. With a comfortable lead, Kenny was able to play it safe in the shoot off, while others had to gamble in attempts to catch him. For his efforts, Prime is happy to award Kenny with a check for $12,000, based upon his contingency participation and hard work.

With a field of superior shooters, the Open Pro division requires shooters to first accurately estimate the range of each shot, and then execute the shot flawlessly. The targets can range anywhere up to 50 yards +/- two yards, and as many competitors have noted, the organizers like to take full advantage of this +/- variation, while playing with the terrain to create uncertainty in the shooters minds.

"It has been tough these past years coming so close to the podium only to miss it by a couple of points,” said Lantz. “This game is won with a combination of the right equipment and mental training, and this weekend it really came together for me with my Logic CT9. This win is a great kick off to the season"
