Scholastic 3-D Archery Names Jayne White as Missouri State Coordinator

Scholastic 3-D Archery has named Jayne White as the new Missouri S3DA State Coordinator. As the State Coordinator, Jayne will oversee all aspects of the S3DA program in Missouri, including promoting the program across the state to gain team and individual memberships, providing trainings for new coaches, and providing S3DA participants with multiple monthly competition venues (tournaments) with minimal travel. Jayne is very excited for the opportunity to help facilitate and grow Missouri S3DA. She has begun connecting with current Missouri S3DA members as well as marketing to potential members.

Jayne currently resides just outside of Helena, Missouri with her husband, Ky, and their three children, Ryker, Ruger, and Raelynn. Jayne has been a registered nurse for eleven years and currently works as the Director of Clinical and Emergency Operations with the Andrew County Health Department. She started shooting archery when she met Ky but took a short break when they decided to start a family. When the oldest son, Ryker, was big enough, he became interested in archery and the younger siblings quickly caught on as well. The family started shooting together and they sought out local competitions and fun shoots to participate in. Little did they know that once they started regularly attending these events that they would soon become a part of an archery family where they would seek each other out just to check in and see if anybody had gotten a new bow or where they had been shooting at lately. This incredible archery family introduced them to S3DA and not long after that Jayne started the NW Missouri Longshots S3DA Team.

Jayne said, “Archery is a sport that allows youth of all ages and abilities the chance to participate. I really enjoy the S3DA program because it allows children the opportunity to not only be a part of a team and build camaraderie but grow as archers and hunters. It is my goal to continue to build on the excellent foundation that has been laid for the Missouri S3DA program. I plan to collaborate with the states around us to provide competitions that allow our youth archers and their families the ability to get out and do something together that they enjoy all while not having to travel extensive amounts of miles to do so. We will increase participation and add additional venues by getting more teams to join the program.”

Jayne looks to build relationships with NASP, ASA, USA Archery, NFAA, and other local clubs to grow the sport of archery in Missouri. For more information on Missouri S3DA, contact Jayne directly via email (S3DAmissouri@gmail.com) or checkout the Missouri S3DA Facebook page.
