Tennessee S3DA Hosts Miller Coliseum Indoor Regional

Williamsburg, KY – The Tennessee Miller Coliseum located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is an enormous venue used for multiple events including the most recent Tennessee S3DA Indoor Regional. The Coliseum features a large arena floor, stadium style seats, a state-of-the-art sound system, concession areas, and restrooms. Archers of all ages filled the morning lines and the afternoon lines to max capacity. Nearly 200 archers from fifteen teams across the state competed in the third Indoor Regional of the season.

“This was the largest Indoor regional we have hosted this season and you could feel the excitement in the arena. There is really something special about the student athletes in this program. They compete fiercely but they also encourage, support, and lift up one another. This event marked the half-way point of our Indoor season, and I am looking forward to seeing the second half of the season unfold as we make our way towards the 2023 Indoor State Championship,” stated Robert Carter, Tennessee S3DA State Coordinator.

Tennessee ASA Federation Director, Jerry Shehane, served as a guest line judge for the event. Hunter Sales, Athletic Director of Outdoor Sports and Micah Davis, Head Coach of Carson Newman Archery attended the event and spoke to each flight of archers about collegiate archery opportunities.

Micah Davis, Head Coach for Carson Newman Archery stated, “Carson Newman University was excited for the opportunity to come out and see all the archers at the Tennessee S3DA Indoor Regional shoot in Murfreesboro. I am always impressed with the sportsmanship, community, and talent in our youth archers. We are looking forward to the start of our program where students can continue to grow as archers and followers of Jesus Christ.”
