Wisconsin S3DA Hosts Dual Indoor Target Regionals

Williamsburg, KY – Wisconsin S3DA recently held two indoor target regional tournaments on the same weekend in the northern and southern sections of the state to provide archers and their families a venue closer to their home and a safer distance to travel, especially with some of the recent Wisconsin weather. The first regional of the weekend took place on Saturday, January 7th, 2023, as Winneconne Youth Archery hosted archers from fourteen teams at Woodeye’s/Critter’s Wolf River Sports. To follow on Sunday, Yahara River Archery hosted an indoor regional at Stoughton Conservation Club with archers representing ten teams participating in the tournament.

Scott Fuchs, Wisconsin S3DA State Coordinator said, “Winneconne Youth Archery did a great job running their first indoor target event. There were plenty of smiles and firsts, including an archer getting her first “Robin Hood” ever and it was in the X-Ring. Woodeye’s & Critters is a wonderful venue, and we thank them for the wonderful support they give to Winneconne Youth Archery. Yahara River Archery was a great way to close out our first doubleheader weekend of 2023. Yahara River Archery always hosts great events, and this was no exception. A well-run line, plenty of smiles from the archers and more personal bests … everything you could hope for.”

Chris Boucher, Critter’s Wolf River Sports stated, “This youth archery group started just a few short years ago with a dozen kids and a few enthusiastic parents. To see such a good turnout really warms the heart. It’s not only introduced archery to many youth but has provided many families with opportunities to enjoy the sport of archery together.”

Parent, Michelle Miller and youth archer, Jackson Miler stated, “We always enjoy archery shoots at Yahara. Events are well organized and held at a first-class facility, whether Indoor or Outdoor. We invite everyone to attend at least one shoot at this venue as it is a must shoot for our family. Yahara staff is so welcoming, and we wouldn’t want to miss any event they host.”
