GAS Bowstrings Shooters Shine at Pan American Championships in Medellín

The Pan American Championships held in Medellín, Colombia, witnessed stellar performances from GAS Bowstrings shooters, who showcased their skill and determination on the international stage. From April 18th to April 21st, athletes from across the Americas converged to compete in a display of archery excellence, with GAS Bowstrings shooters making their mark with impressive victories and podium finishes.

Leading the charge was Sebastián García, whose exceptional performance saw him clinch the gold medal in a fiercely contested final match. Despite facing stiff competition, García’s precision and resilience propelled him to victory by a narrow one-point margin, solidifying him as Champion.

Dafne Quintero demonstrated remarkable skill, securing the silver medal in the women’s compound division after a tightly contested gold medal match. In addition, Marcelo Del Cid’s outstanding performance in the men’s compound division earned him the silver medal in the championships.

Jack Williams secured a bronze medal in the men’s recurve after emerging victorious in his close finals match. Sara López, also showcased her dominance by securing third place at the Pan Am Games, defeating her opponent with a strong score of 146 to her competitor’s 141.

In addition to individual successes, GAS Bowstrings shooters excelled in team competitions, storming the podiums during the Pan American Games. Notable achievements include:

  • Recurve Men’s Team: USA captured bronze, including GAS shooters Jack Williams and Brady Ellison
  • Recurve Women’s Team: USA took the gold and the women’s team quota for Paris, including GAS shooter Catalina GNoriega
  • Compound Women’s Team: USA secured gold, including Olivia Dean; El Salvador took silver, including Sofia Paiz; Mexico took the bronze, including GAS shooters Dafne Quintero and Andrea Becerra
  • Compound Men’s Team: Mexico secured the gold medal, including Sebastián García and Juan del Rio; Guatemala took silver, including GAS shooter Marcelo Del Cid
  • Compound Mix Team: Colombia captured the silver medal, including GAS shooter Sara Lopez; Puerto Rico secured the bronze, including Jean Pizarro
