Sparta, Wisconsin – In the first shoot of 2022, Mathews Shooter Chris Perkins took home first place at the Iowa Pro-Am in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend.

“Watching Chris win the first tournament of the year is great to see,” said Pro Staff Manager Derek Phillips. “We're excited to watch him build on this early season momentum along with the rest of Team Mathews."

Team Mathews shooter Tanja Gellenthien was also able to podium, taking home 2nd in the women’s division.

The Iowa Pro-AM is one of the premier archery tournaments in the country, with over 600 participants. Competitors shoot one NFAA 360 round and one Vegas 330 round to determine the shoot off.
