Orem, UT — The 2022 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge, held in Springville, Utah has set a new record for both attendance and total cash prize payouts for any airgun match held to date. A total of 200 shooters and over 300 other attendees, including sponsors from multiple states and representing 13 countries, made the event a resounding success. $100,000 in cash payouts and thousands of dollars in products were awarded to top shooters. The top prizes of $20,000 each, were awarded to the 1st place pro-class 100-yard bench rest shooter, Dusty Powers, and the 1st place pro Class precision marksmanship challenge shooter, Boyd Linder. Pro-class shooter Alex Hatfield was awarded $7,500 for his first-place speed shoot finish and Dave Wilson was awarded $2,000 for his first-place finish in the big-bore competition.

“We could not be happier with how well the 2022 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challange went…” stated Justin Jacobsen, owner of Utah Airguns. “ When we started the Rocky Mountain Airgun Challange in 2018, our goal was to create a match format that would easily allow crossover by traditional firearms shooters into the competitive airgun world. RMAC was the first match to feature a precision rifle-style competition. This, along with working with the Nation Rifle League to create an airgun class within the ever-growing NRL22 series has brought hundreds of skilled shooters into the airgun space. This has led directly to RMAC becoming the largest airgun competition in the world. We would like to thank our sponsors, attendees, and shooters for making the 2022 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge the best yet. We will continue to work to make RMAC the most attended shooting event in the US.”
