Yesim and Her Prime Centergy X1 Target Bow Garner a Two Point Win for the Gold
Memphis, Michigan —Prime Archery®, by G5® Outdoors—the leading manufacturer of premium, technologically advanced archery equipment and bows, is proud to report that Prime Archery Pro Staff member, Yesim Bostan of Antalya, Turkey won the Gold Medal in the Compound Women’s Division at the World Archery World Cup Series stage two event, over the days May 20th – 26th.
Yesim came out of the qualification round in 4th place with score of 699 out of 720, with 66 other women in the category. To be able to compete for your country at this event, you must qualify at a regional event. Yesim received a late birthday gift (her birthday was May 24th), by knocking out the number one qualifier in the semi-finals to get to the gold medal match. Going into the final round of the match, the two competitors were tied, but Yesim won the gold medal match by two points with three 10's.
"I was very nervous going into the match, but the happiness of reaching the championship box is a great feeling,” exclaimed Yesim. “Thanks to my family, friends, and sponsors, I made one of my biggest dreams come true in my home country!"
Competing in the World Archery World Cup Series is not new for Yesim, as she finished 9th in 2017 and finished 2nd at the 2017 World Archery World Cup stage four event, following all of this Yesim finished 2nd at the 2017 World Archery Championships.
