A New Chef Dons the Apron on Outdoor Channel’s “The Sporting Chef”

Stacy Lyn Harris Takes Over in the Kitchen for Long-time Executive Chef Scott Leysath

DENVER – Social media influencer, author, public speaker, gardener, photographer, mother of seven and lawyer Stacy Lyn Harris is adding a new title to her resume – host of
Outdoor Channel’s The Sporting Chef.

Harris takes over for long-time host, wild game chef and executive producer Scott Leysath. Harris will debut the new season of The Sporting Chef on September 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET and be part of the network’s “Taste of the Wild” programming block on Monday nights.

Harris, originally from “L.A.” (Lower Alabama), will serve fish and wild game recipes with charm and a southern flair that has become her hallmark. Outdoor Channel’s The Sporting Chef showcases a collaborative group of professional chefs, home chefs, cookbook authors and outdoor experts who have joined forces to help anyone prepare better fish and game dishes. Whether cooking at home or in the woods, each week is loaded with information from a cast of characters ranging from award-winning chefs to down home country folks who know their way around a kitchen full of surprises and good old-fashioned deliciousness.

“Scott built a brand with The Sporting Chef and I hope to add to that legacy,” Harris said. “I’m a firm believer that food doesn’t get any better than when it is straight from the wild, foraged from the land, or fresh from the garden. I’m truly excited to share this and my southern style with the audience of Outdoor Channel on one of its signature programming nights - ‘Taste of the Wild’ - every Monday.”

Watch The Sporting Chef on Mondays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel.

The Sporting Chef and more also can be seen on MyOutdoorTV (MOTV).
