Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation (TSAA) Partners with S3DA to Educate Youth

Williamsburg, KY – The Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation (TSAA) is a non-profit organization that focuses on tree stand safety and ensures that every hunter that uses a tree stand does so in a safe manner so that he or she comes home safe to their family and friends. The mission of the Tree Stand Safety Awareness Foundation is to significantly reduce tree stand incidents through promotion, education, and best practices.

As September is Tree Stand Safety Awareness Month, TSAA and S3DA have teamed up to provide S3DA student members a short quiz on the importance of Tree Stand Safety. Every student that completes the quiz will have the opportunity to win a full body safety harness courtesy of TSSA. Glen Mayhew, TSSA President states, “TSSA is proud to serve as a Conservation Member of the S3DA. We know that a significant percentage of the youth involved in S3DA either currently hunt or will become hunters as a result of their tremendous experiences in S3DA. TSSA is pleased to be able to provide them with the ABCs of Tree Stand Safety and other information about how to use tree stands in a safe and enjoyable manner.”

Hunters and members of the industry alike can help spread the message of the TSSA Foundation. Visit the TSSA website at https://treestandsafetyawarenessfounda.godaddysites.com/ or on social media at www.facebook.com/TreeStandSafetyAwareness or www.twitter.com @TreeStandSafety .

About Scholastic 3-D Archery

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3-D, indoor target, and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA students participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Students can participate at local, regional, state, and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
