West Henrietta, NY – The 2024 indoor season culminated in an exciting weekend in Kentucky as Elite Archery’s Alexis Ruiz completed her season with two hard fought podium finishes. Following her successes in a series of qualifying tournaments, Ruiz entered the national USA Archery competition in the top eight and finished in second in the gold medal match with her teal Verdict. She continued her competition weekend by shooting down on the NFAA stage for third against Elite Archery teammate Meg Curtis.
“I’m thrilled with how I finished my indoor season and I feel really confident in my equipment transitioning to outdoor tournaments in the coming weeks,” Ruiz said. “It’s a true testament to the Elite platform that I’m able to have that kind of versatility and reliability and know that I can depend on my equipment to perform when I need it to.”
Elite Archery’s Jacob Marlow (Verdict), Nick Kappers (Verdict) and Lewie Holmes (Ethos) shot impressive 600/120x rounds through the NFAA Indoor Nationals men’s pro class, qualifying for the final shootdown in a field of 18 total archers.
“Indoor season is a true test of one’s mental fortitude and equipment,” said Darrin Christenberry, pro staff manager. “There’s no room for error, and the conditions are equal – so the best of the best quickly come to the forefront. I’m proud of how Team Elite performed this entire weekend and am especially proud of Alexis’ strength and endurance to finish the indoor season strong – big things to come for her and the entire team!”
Ruiz and the rest of Team USA head to the Arizona Cup to begin the outdoor USA Archery circuit, quickly followed by the World Cup events. In tandem, the 3D team head to the Uchee Creek Campground for the second ASA tournament of the season, with shootdown coverage airing Saturday, March 23 on The Sportsman’s Channel, and Competition Archery Media’s Youtube.
