Title: Archery Technician/Sales Associate

Report: Store Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

An Archery Technician/Sales Associate is foremostly responsible for delivering personal and superior service and ensuring that customers receive a legendary shopping experience. Further, an Archery Technician/Sales Associate is responsible for serving all customers in a non-biased capacity. It is imperative, and required, that an Archery Technician/Sales Associate serves as a high-level sales professional to all customers.

An Archery Technician/Sales Associate is tasked with troubleshooting and professional tuning and calibration of archery equipment to the highest and safest level(s) possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ARCHERY TECHNICIAN/SALES ASSOCIATE

• Deliver personal and superior service to all customers
• Promote sales generation by upselling and driving product in a non-biased capacity
• Develop strategic concepts and ideas as to how to best promote new and existing products
• Troubleshooting and professional tuning and calibrating archery equipment
• Advise customers by providing high-level detail and knowledge of products
• Aid in customer selections through building and strengthening customer confidence, knowledge and by way of offering both suggestions and (best for customer) opinions
• Ensure that customers remain informed by debriefing of new products, sale items, and future products or categories of potential interest
• Merchandise, organize, maintain and uphold showroom, tech room, and range to organizational standards
• Positively contribute to the overall team-building experience and structure
• Document sales by creating or updating customer profile records
• Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards
• Assist as needed to pick and fulfill orders during non-peak season periods of the year
• Remain abreast of archery and firearm-centric industry trends and product(s)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Previous archery technician experience strongly preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• Exceptional work ethic, with a passion to succeed and take initiative
• Promote and employ a positive and service-oriented attitude
• Well-versed in Archery, Firearms, Hunting, Great Outdoors, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
• Good computer skills – preferably knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Willingness to work independently as well as part of a team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the essential functions of this position, must regularly see, speak, and hear; frequently stand; walk; occasionally kneel and stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; operate material handling equipment; occasionally carry and lift up to 100 lbs.; and use equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, and handheld archery tools
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus

MANDATORY MEETINGS

• Monthly 1/1 with direct report
• Decompression Day (all company)
• State of the Union (all company)
• TBD pertinent meetings defined by direct report
