Clay City, Ky- This past weekend rounded out the end of the indoor season with NFAA Indoor Nationals! Several GAS Shooters were able to shoot perfect scores and make the shoot-offs! Twelve GAS shooters shot perfect scores and three others were able to make shoot-off rounds to determine third place in their divisions!
In the freestyle professional male division, Kyle Douglas, Jesse Broadwater, Jacob Pettit, Braden Gellenthien, Nick Kappers, James Lutz, Zachary Plonsky, Louis Price, Mike Schloesser, and Grant Schleusner all shot perfect to put them in the final shoot offs to determine podium positions. Kyle shot through the shoot-offs perfectly aside from one arrow where he was able to take 2nd place! Jesse Broadwater followed up Kyle, shooting a 172 in the shoot-offs to place him third overall!
In the freestyle professional female division, Paige earned gold outright with her perfect score of 600 with 120xs! She was the only women’s pro to shoot a perfect score in her division! Tanja Gellenthien and Madison Cox were two of three archers to tie for third landing them in a shoot-off to determine bronze. Madison was the first to go out putting her in fifth followed by Tanja who placed in fourth overall.
James Butts had a good weekend in the freestyle professional senior male division. He was tied with Michael Hulburt Sr and Chuck Durnil for third place with 600 177xs. They shot off for the bronze and James was the only one to stay perfect in the shoot-offs, taking third.
Lastly, in freestyle professional senior female, Tammy Trail was able to secure second place outright with a 575 and 50xs!
Congratulations to everyone who made the podium this weekend! This indoor season was incredibly successful for both GAS Bowstrings and GAS Shooters! We look forward to more success as the outdoor season starts back up!
