Buckscore®, the leader in digital antler scoring technology, launched an All-New version of their web-based application on October 2nd. The app allows users to score trail camera and harvest photos of their buck accurately and more easily than ever before. The new version of Buckscore®, which originally made its debut in 2010, underwent years of testing and new programming to ensure accuracy, usability, and convenience for users. In addition, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has since issued two full patents. Buckscore ® is the only digital antler scoring application available on the market today. It's science-proven technology calculates all antler measurements including gross and net score using pictures uploaded by the end user. Know the score without ever laying a hand on the buck.
"We are excited to release the new BuckScore® app. It's been a long time coming, and with two USPTO issued patents, the technology and user-interface is stronger than ever," says co-founder and inventor Jeremy Flinn.
Buckscore® is a scientifically proven software tested on thousands of deer across North America by The Mississippi State University Deer Lab. While all scores are still considered to be estimates when compared to in-hand scoring, intense research shows that the patented digital scoring system is extremely accurate.
During the last five years of testing, the team at Buckscore® made a several major changes to improve the overall function, accuracy, and usability of the application.
Previously, Buckscore® was only available via a software download on Windows based machines, where users were only able to score their deer on their desktops or laptops. After completely reprogramming the entire application and converting the technology to a web-based system, users can now score their deer almost anywhere, via desktops, laptops, tablets, and soon, most smartphones - which the Buckscore® team is currently working on expanding the technology to include soon.
Buckscore® has also upped the ante when it comes to storage. In the past, all pictures and score sheets had to be stored locally on the user's computer. Now, users can take advantage of Buckscore's® unlimited server-based storage. On the new application, users are now able to create an album for each buck and continue scoring them through the years.
Another significant improvement to Buckscore® is the ability for users to score their buck from 5 different angles. Previously, on the original version of the software, the only images of bucks able to be scored from 3 angles. Now users can score bucks from 0, 22, 45, 66 and 90-degrees.
Flinn states, "The ability to score bucks digitally in minutes with science-proven research, paired with the newly programmed app and user interface, is one of the most innovative products to hit the outdoor industry in a long time."
Buckscore® is now available via a subscription-based service for $3.99 a month.
