Yankton, SD : In response to consumer demand for a smooth drawing bow with respectable performance, Xpedition Archery developed the 2016 Xception.
Blake Davis, Sales Manager for Xpedition Archery said; "The market understands that while speed bows are certainly a driver in the marketing of high end compound bows, not every bowhunter wants, or needs a 350 plus feet per second bow. Our Xcentric Hybrids fill that need and set the bar for performance. So Xpedition looked at their existing line of single cams and set out to develop the pinnacle of quality and performance in an easy to draw platform. What we found in our research, was that the single cam market, for the most part, was relegated to price point driven bows that used lesser quality components. We did not believe those bows were an accurate representation of the advantages or the potential that exists in a single cam system. What resulted from that was a proprietary new single cam design that gives an honest 328 fps IBO rating in a module adjustable single cam that covers 26.5" to 31" draw length archers. The XP-1 single cam is a "back to the drawing board" approach that uses a 3 piece construction which solves a few of the issues previously found in single cam systems that forced those systems to use draw length specific cams or rotating draw length modules….it really is a different approach to function, construction, and simplicity. All this adds up to a well balanced 32 and 3/8" Axle to Axle bow that weighs less than 4 pounds and maintains great speed in spite of its forgiving 7 3/8" brace height. It is also ridiculously easy to tune. Overall, it is going to be a very solid all around bow."
