Flint River WMA Archery Season Dates Incorrect in Georgia Regulations

ALBANY, Ga. -- The printed 2013-2014 Georgia Hunting Seasons and Regulations Guide contains an error regarding dates of archery season at Flint River WMA, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Resources Division.

The error, on p. 53 of the printed guide, lists the archery season as Sept. 14-20, 2013, incorrectly shortening the season on the WMA by three weeks. The correct date range for the archery season as relates to Flint River WMA is Sept. 14-Oct. 13, 2013.

Flint River WMA is a 2,300-acre management area found in both Dooly and Macon counties. Opportunities for hunting on this area include deer, turkey, small game, hog and dove.

This error was corrected for the online version of the 2013-2014 Georgia Hunting Seasons and Regulations, but all hunters should make note of this error should they use a printed copy. The most accurate and updated information can be found at www.georgiawildlife.com/hunting/regulations.
