MOUNT JOY, PA - Deepening the brands' commitment to product development, October Mountain Products applied for and was granted patent protections for the Light Stryke Bowfishing Sight sold primarily under the Fin-Finder label.
"The Light Stryke sight is a truly revolutionary bowfishing product and one that we knew deserved to be protected," says Matthew Smith, product development manager for October Mountain Products. "We're proud of the products we're developing under our family of labels and while this is the first product we've patented, it certainly won't be the last."
Method and Apparatus protections for the Light Stryke sight were granted on June 13, 2013 and are covered by U.S. patent number 8,464,700. The Fin-Finder Light Stryke Bowfishing Sight uses a powerful laser that diffracts in water allowing the user to more accurately aim for submerged fish.
"We had a vision of producing game-changing, original products when we founded October Mountain Products back in 2007," says Dave Parker, brand manager at October Mountain Products. "While we've been producing great products since our inception, this patent tells me that we're finding our stride and that more great things are on the horizon - that's pretty exciting."
