Lake City, Michigan - Acry-Lac is an acrylic waterborne coating that will dry to a glossy and hard, thin layer. Acry-Lac paints have been engineered so archers can confidently use them to dip or brush on any type of shafts.
Acry-Lac is non-flammable and can be shipped worldwide without any hazardous fees. Paints have a very low smell and tools and brushes can be cleaned with soapy water.
Coating the shafts with Acry-Lac paint not only enhances their appearance but also improves adhesion of vanes and feathers on the shaft after exposure to high humidity.
Why not just use hobby paints? The viscosity and rheology of hobby and house paints are not designed for the object to be dipped in the paint. As a result the paint may crackle when used to dip arrow shafts.
In addition these paints create a coating that is not designed for adhesion and therefore may cause adhesion problems with the vanes or feathers upon fletching.
