2024 Lancaster Archery Classic Offers $50,000 for Perfect Scores

The Lancaster Archery Classic will pay out $50,000 to archers who shoot a perfect score at this year’s tournament, scheduled for Jan. 25-28 in Manheim, Pa.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Classic, which is the East Coast’s largest indoor archery tournament, host Lancaster Archery Supply had initially promised a special prize of $20,000 for a perfect score of 660. Thanks to an anonymous donor, however, that special prize has increased to $50,000.

To score a perfect 660 at the Classic, an archer must shoot all 60 arrows in qualification in the center 11 ring. Only five perfect 660s have ever been shot in the 19 Classics preceding the 2024 tournament.

The special 660 prize money this year can be won by any archer in any division. If only one archer shoots a 660, that archer will take home all $50,000. If two archers shoots 660s, there will be a shoot-off to separate them, and the winner will receive $30,000, with $20,000 going to the runner-up. If three or more archers shoot 660s, a shoot-off will rank them, and the $50,000 prize money will be divided only among the top three, with $25,000 going to the winner, $15,000 to the runner-up and $10,000 to the third-place finisher.

This special prize is being offered on top of all other prize money that’s normally awarded at the Classic, which boasts a top prize of $20,000 for the winner of the Open Pro division. Registration for the 2024 Lancaster Archery Classic, being held at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex, is open though the end of the day Jan. 17. Archers looking to compete can register here.
