National Field Archery Association Announces National Field League

Yankton, SD – The National Field Archery Association (NFAA) announced plans to roll out the brand new National Outdoor Field League, featuring Hunter, Field and Animal Rounds beginning May 31, 2021.

The League will run for 12 weeks at local NFAA field courses across the country. Any course which follows the Field Archery rules as set in the NFAA Constitution and By-Laws is eligible to host a League. Current NFAA charter and Field Range Certification is not required, but host ranges with both of these designations are eligible for archer rebates.

The NFAA encourages hosts to promote the National League alongside their local league, inviting archers to register for both. Customizable National League marketing materials are available at nfaausa.com.

Archers can shoot their National Field League rounds anytime between May 31, 2021 to August 22, 2021. Only the archer's top 10 scores (i.e., 4 best Field, 4 best Hunter, 2 best Animal) will be counted toward National League final placement. Archers are encouraged to submit their scorecards as their rounds are completed during the League. Updated placements based on each archer’s average round scores will be posted weekly. Final scores will be posted once all scores have been submitted at the end of the League.

Outreach Project Manager, Erika Jones shares her excitement about the League roll out, “We have been working toward offering our members a National League program for a while, so we are very excited to see it come to fruition! Not only will it provide our members the opportunity to compete at a national level from their hometown range, it also allows us the ability to support our member clubs and shops around the country. We have received outstanding positive feedback from our clubs who are looking forward to implementing the new National League program at their club.”
