The Archery Wire Photo of the Week

Archery Wire subscriber Frank Berbuir of Duesseldorf, Germany just returned from South Africa's Limpopo Province where he took this Cape buffalo with a single arrow at 27 yards while hunting with Izac Vos from Vos Safaris. Berbuir's equipment included a 90-pound Elite GT 500 bow and an Easton Full Metal Jacket 250 arrow tipped with a 200-grain two blade Muzzy Phantom SS broadhead (total weight: 800 grains). The bowhunter reports the official spread of the buffalo was 41 1/8 and live weight was 1,764 pounds; producing 827 pounds of meat. Mr. Berbuir is a member of Safari Club International, Sueddeutscher Bogenjagdverband (South German Bowhunting Federation) and a local archery club. His website is www.nimrod-100.de .
