Team Krieghoff Returns from Successful World FITASC

Team Krieghoff proudly returned from the 2022 World FITASC held in Orvieto, Italy knowing they represented the United States well. Challenging targets were shot from atop cliffs, over vineyards, and in record-breaking heat all providing a unique competitive shooting experience. Krieghoff shooters Gebben Miles, Madison Sharpe, and Ross Wilson all posted notable performances.

World Class competitor Gebben Miles, known for his expertise in FITASC tied for 5th place, making him the highest finishing U.S.A. competitor in the Open category. Gebben’s top five World FITASC finish combined with points from the Grand Prix and World Championship earned him the World Cup Silver Medal.

“Despite the intense heat I really enjoyed competing at the World Championship in Italy this year. Although I wanted to finish higher, I'm pleased with how I shot. 192 was 1 shot off the podium and just 3 light of HOA,” says Gebben Miles.

Gebben returned to the United States ranked #1 in the FITASC World Standings, a position he also held in 2015. “It's a blessing to be able to compete at the World Championships and an honor to regain the #1 spot in the world ranking last weekend after taking 3 years to rebuild my ranking after taking the 2019 season off."

2022 World FITASC Lady Silver Medal winner Madison Sharpe faced a battle for runner-up honors. After posting an impressive score of 178, Madison entered the shoot-off for Silver. After 15 straight broken targets she secured the medal and proved her tenacity in the sport.

Madison’s final score was a crucial contribution to the U.S.A. Lady Team’s Gold Medal win. Team Krieghoff’s Karen Shedd and Shelby Moon added their scores to Madison’s and secured the U.S.A. Lady’s Team 21 target win over Australia.

Ross Wilson also found himself in a shoot-off, this time the prize was the Junior Bronze Medal. Head-to-head against tough competition, Ross won the shoot-off and took home the Bronze in the Junior category.

Krieghoff congratulates all of our Team Krieghoff and U.S.A. shooters who competed in the 2022 World FITASC. For more information on Team Krieghoff, please visit www.krieghoff.com.
