Team Mathews Introduces New Target Bow And Dominates ASA Classic

Sparta, Wisconsin - Team Mathews wraps up the ASA season in Cullman, Alabama sweeping both Men’s Open Pro and Women’s Open Pro, as well as claiming four Shooter of the Year titles.

Dan McCarthy took top honors in Men’s Open Pro. Teammates Levi Morgan and Andrew Callaway finished in second and third. Cara Kelly, Kailey Pettepher, and Emily McCarthy finished first, second, and third in Women’s Open Pro. In Men’s Known Pro, Jeff Raney finished second while teammate Jeff Hopkins claimed second in Men’s Senior Pro. Team Shooter Jordan Dearman claimed third in Women’s Known Pro and Randy Morocco captured second in Senior Known Pro.

Teammates McCarthy and Morgan battled for first place the entire weekend sporting the new Mathews TITLE target bow. The new target line from Mathews will be available in September 2023 and has already proven what the next generation of Mathews target bows are capable of in the highest level of competition.

“Most people thought I risked everything switching to the new Mathews TITLE with both the Shooter of the Year and the ASA Classic titles on the line,” stated McCarthy. “I knew I was risking everything if I didn’t switch. There is no doubt switching to the TITLE gave me an advantage”.

In addition to a dominant finish to the season, four Mathews Shooters were named Shooter of the Year in their respective classes. Dan McCarthy - Men’s Open Pro, Cara Kelly - Women’s Open Pro, Randy Morocco - Senior Known Pro, Jeff Hopkins - Men’s Senior Pro.

“This is my eighth ASA Shooter of the Year title,” stated Cara Kelly.” I’ve always said, winning Shooter of the Year is one of the hardest things to accomplish. You have to consistently bring your “A” game every weekend. Knowing I can trust my Mathews bow and having the utmost confidence in my equipment, makes that much easier”.

Mathews Pro Staff Manager Derek Phillips said, “So proud of our team and their domination at the ASA Event. To claim multiple SOY titles and have that many of our shooters finish on top of the podium to wrap up the season is incredible to see.”
