S3DA Promotes Holly Helton to Operations Manager

Williamsburg, KY – Dirk Dieterich, President of Scholastic 3-D Archery, announced that Holly Helton has been promoted to Operations Manager effective May 11th, 2020. Since beginning her tenure with S3DA Helton has proven herself to be energetic, diligent, detail-oriented, self-motivated and an articulate team-player. As the Operations Manager, Helton will play a hands-on role, working in close partnership with the program’s Executive Director, Jennie Richardson, to carry out and manage the operational and systematic functions program wide to ensure effectiveness, transparency, and efficiency. Helton states, “I am very honored to further my career thru this exciting opportunity with S3DA! As an outdoors enthusiast who understands the need for a program such as this for our youth, I am proud to be at the forefront. I believe my experience in the business/accounting industry prior to S3DA paired with my passion for archery has prepared me for this transition and I’m enthusiastic about where we’re headed!”

S3DA Board of Directors President, Dirk Dieterich, states, “Holly Helton has been with S3DA for over a year now and has proven herself to be an exceptionally talented and dedicated member of our management team. When the decision was made to hire an Operations Manager, she was at the top of our list. Holly has both a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Union College and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of the Cumberland’s and graduated both programs as Summa Cum Laude. We are so pleased that she opted to accept the position. With this promotion, Holly will oversee running the day to day business functions of S3DA and all the office staff will report to her. She will be working closely with the Executive Director, Jennie Richardson, to steer S3DA through these trying times for all businesses and we have great faith that she will do an exceptional job.”

Jennie Richardson, longtime S3DA Executive Director, will continue in a hands-on role, working in close partnership with the program staff to grow and promote the S3DA program through collaborative relationships with multiple strategic partners. Jennie will be the program spokesperson and industry sponsor liaison as well as working to expand initiatives geared toward state expansion. She has been instrumental in the planning, growth, and overall success of the program thus far and will continue to provide a wealth of knowledge of many facets of the target archery, outdoors and conservation industries.

Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA™) is a unique, family-oriented youth archery program which has grown exponentially across the United States as a next-step initiative to follow introductory archery programs. The mission of the Scholastic

3-D Archery program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of 3-D, indoor target and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bowhunting practices. The goal of the S3DA™ program is to provide archery and bowhunting opportunities to youth in after-school settings, as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. S3DA™ students participate in 3-D and target archery using compound and traditional archery equipment. Students can participate at local, regional, state and national archery events and earn college scholarships from colleges and universities across the United States. S3DA™ addresses the need for a program to bridge beginning target archery experience and more advanced activities such as 3-D shooting and bowhunting. The program currently operates across the United States with hundreds of certified coaches serving thousands of young archers, grades 3–12.
