Sparta, Wisconsin – Team Mathews archer, Tanja Gellenthien, won her first-career gold medal at the Hyundai Archery World Cup in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Despite strong winds and immense pressure, Gellenthien was able to outlast Andrea Marcos to take home the victory this past weekend. This win places Gellenthien’s name at the top of the current World Cup leaderboard rankings.
“Today I took down my first Individual Gold medal at the World Cup event after several second-place finishes,” stated Gellenthien. “The wind made aiming difficult, but I stayed aggressive and my TRX® 36 gave me the speed and accuracy I needed to stay on top.”
