Mathews® Shooter Chris Perkins Wins Redding Shoot

Sparta, Wisconsin – Team Mathews outshines the competition at the 27th Annual Western Classic Trail Shoot in Redding, California. The 3D event hosted by Straight Arrow Bow Hunters, Inc. consisted of three days full of competitive shooting this past weekend.

Chris Perkins brought home gold for Mathews with victory in the Men’s NFAA Marked 3D National Championship.

“I had a lot of fun at this shoot, and felt very comfortable all weekend,” stated Mathews Shooter Chris Perkins. “My TRX® 40 shot extremely well under pressure in the final shootdown. To show up and shoot this well always feels great!”

The Western Classic is the world’s largest marked 3D archery competitions, and draws archers of all skill levels from around the world looking to compete in the tournament that has been dubbed “the go-to shoot” of the year.

Mathew’s shooter Emily McCarthy continued her hot streak with a 3rd place podium in the Women’s division. McCarthy was coming off of a 1st place finish in Paris, Texas at the ASA Pro/Am tournament.
