Clay City, Ky.- The 20th of July kicked off the NFAA Outdoor Nationals Field Championships held at the Mechanicsburg Sportsman’s Association in Pennsylvania! This was another successful competition for GAS Bowstrings shooters as they held a huge presence at the competition, tallied four different medals, and a broken record!
Gaius Carter made headlines this past weekend as he was one of two professional archers at this event to shoot two back-to-back 560 rounds. This is the first time an archer has done this in the competition’s history. Gaius went on to finish in 2nd place just 1 point behind the first-place contender. Paige Pearce made an impressive showing at NFAA Field Nationals as well. She took first place at the competition and lead her division by an incredible 59 points!
In the senior pro classes, Kendall Woody finished in 3rd with an 1822, Melanie White finished in 2nd with a 1739 and Debra Ochs finished in 3rd with a 1650!
