Team Mathews dominated the USA Archery US Open located in Springfield, MO, sweeping the Men’s Compound Division in a heart-stopping final round.

Team Shooters Stephan Hansen, Jimmy Lutz, and Sawyer Sullivan took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Men’s Compound Division in an extremely tight race for Gold.

Hansen and Lutz were neck and neck throughout the entire event, fighting for the top of the podium. At the end of the final round, Hansen and Lutz found themselves tied for 1st with a final score of 147.

Hansen was able capitalize in a closest to the center, 1-arrow shoot off against Lutz to claim 1st place and be crowned the 2025 US Open Champion.

“It’s amazing to watch Hansen, Lutz, and Sullivan push each other in these competitions,” said Derek Phillips, Mathews Pro Staff Manager. “They seem to sharpen each other’s skills with every event, and continually find themselves at the top of the podiums”.
