Gold Tip and Bee Stinger Employee Jeff Fabry Continues Para Championship Dominance
AMERICAN FORK, Utah – October 31, 2017 – Gold Tip and Bee Stinger Paralympic shooter Jeff Fabry recently won the 2017 World Archery Para Championships in Beijing, China. For Fabry, a Gold Tip employee from California, it was his fourth career world title.
Fabry, a gold medalist at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, took the title shooting the Bee Stinger Premier Plus stabilizer and Gold Tip Platinum Pierce arrows shafts. He shoots with a mouth tab from a wheelchair and has refined his skills to be considered one of the best in the world.
"I won my first gold medal at the worlds 14 years ago," Fabry said. "To be back here again after all this time has passed, it's amazing."
Earlier this year, USA Archery, the National Governing Body for Olympic Archery in the United States, awarded Fabry the Volunteer Coach of the Year. He is now a six-time world championship medalist and has also received two bronze medals at the 2004 Summer Paralympics, a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Paralympics and a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Paralympics.
Overall, Team U.S.A. took silver in the men's recurve open team division.
