REVAMPED TAKE-DOWN BOW PURCHASING PROCESS ALLOWS FOR CUSTOMIZATION
EVANSVILLE, IN (October 18, 2017) – Bear Archery announced today the launch of its Static K-4, an all-new traditional bow to the 2018 lineup, and a revamped Take-Down bow purchasing process for hunter customization. These advancements draw inspiration from Fred Bear, the company's founder, who developed a legacy of innovation and a heritage of introducing new technologies that are accessible to everyone.
The Static K-4 is a 64-inch static tip bow and a rebirth from 1952. Its sleek narrow design is reminiscent of a long bow with a recurve static tip that retains its shape during the draw cycle of the bow packing a powerful punch. The grip is detailed with Bolivian rosewood and the riser is made of African Bubinga. The hand-shaped Bubinga and maple brush nocks and tips combined with the near center-shot design make this a bow for those who want the very best in styling and smoothness. The Static K-4 is available at a retail price of $599.99.
Also in 2018, the very popular and legendary Take-Down bow now can be mass customized to meet the individual needs of the traditional bowhunter.
Mr. Bear experimented with the Take-Down bow design for nearly 30 years. Since 1969, the latch system has remained virtually untouched since he finalized the design. The Take-Down was Mr. Bear's bow of choice, which he hunted with almost exclusively until his last hunt.
Customers can choose between two riser sizes with two colors each – Black Maple and African Bubinga/Phenolic – then pair the riser with two limb lengths that come in weights that vary (in 5 lb. increments) from 30 to 70 lbs.
