SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – As anticipation builds for fall hunting seasons, Team ScoutLook is gearing up to release several new features in the ScoutLook Hunting app. Two of the most useful and exciting updates just launched this week: distance and area measurement tools.
Distance measurement: drop unlimited pins on ScoutLook's interactive map, and the total distance between the pins is automatically displayed in yards or miles. It's insanely accurate from 5 yards to infinity. This is helpful for planning navigational routes in a straight line or around obstacles. It can also be used as a rangefinder for archery or rifle hunters while digitally scouting prior to a hunt.
Area measurement: drop unlimited pins on ScoutLook's interactive map to calculate square footage or acreage contained within the pins. It's accurate from 10 square feet to infinite acres. Use this tool for actions such as planting food plots, or judging the size of promising new hunting ground.

"Unbeatable weather forecasts and location management for sportsmen will always be the tip of the ScoutLook spear," explained ScoutLook Co-Founder Bill Little. "Our huge community of hunters and fishermen rely on ScoutLook to make decisions that put them in the right place at the right time—for enjoyment, safety and success. Our user experience is paramount, so we're very careful about avoiding clutter and only building meaningful features into our service. The distance and measurement tools are a direct result of user feedback and demand."
Also new from ScoutLook, you'll now find severe weather alerts in the ScoutLook Hunting and ScoutLook Fishing apps.
