USA Archery Awards 2023 Collegiate Regional Coaches of the Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Archery congratulates the 2023 USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program Regional Coaches of the Year. These coaches demonstrated exceptional contributions to their archers and the Collegiate Archery Program as a whole. In the past year, these coaches have shown tireless dedication to the sport, and their archers have seen success in the classroom and on the archery field. USA Archery thanks these coaches, and all collegiate coaches, for their continued efforts.

The 2023 Collegiate Archery Program Regional Coach of the Year honors are awarded as follows:

  • West Region: Kendrick Cheney, University of California, Berkeley
  • North Region: Craig Holycross, Muskingum University
  • East Region: E.G. LeBre, Brandeis University

USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer commented: “USA Archery congratulates our 2023 collegiate regional coaches of the year and sincerely thanks them for their continued efforts and dedication. Their hard work not only develops our athletes, but the collegiate archery program, and sport as a whole. We hope this honor brings well-deserved increased recognition to the efforts these coaches make for their schools and athletic programs.”

Collegiate Archery Programs submitted nominations for candidates to USA Archery, and each group had the opportunity to vote for one Regional Coach of the Year for their respective region.

In addition to regional recognition, these coaches are now in the running for the USA Archery Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year award. USA Archery will send instructions on how to vote for the National Coach of the Year directly to each Collegiate Archery Program.

Votes will be due to USA Archery by May 18th, and the Collegiate Archery Program National Coach of the Year will be announced at Collegiate Target Nationals May 18-21st in Statesboro, Georgia.
