There's another reason to bring your bow to Indianapolis this January. The Archery Trade Association and the National Field Archery Association are excited to announce that the NFAA will host its inaugural 3D Challenge during ATA Show Week, Jan. 7-10, 2027, at the Indiana Convention Center. The new event adds more excitement to a packed lineup of competitions, new products and experiences for archery and bowhunting enthusiasts.
The 3D Challenge takes place Jan. 8-10 alongside the NFAA Rushmore Rumble. Archers of all ages, bow styles and experience levels can test their skills on a variety of 3D targets at marked distances. Whether shooting for fun, competing for awards or entering the optional cash-prize pot, there's something for everyone. Participants shoot one arrow per target and can return for additional rounds. No NFAA membership is required, and the event is open to the public.
"The NFAA 3D Challenge is all about giving more people the opportunity to pick up their bows, have fun and enjoy some friendly competition," Bruce Cull, NFAA Executive Director, said. "With ATA Show Week bringing so much of the archery community together in one place, it's the perfect opportunity to introduce another way to shoot. Attendees can compete in the Rushmore Rumble, explore the Archery & Bowhunting Supershow and take on the 3D Challenge, all in the same trip."
The 3D Challenge joins a week of competitions that run alongside the members-only ATA Trade Show and the public Archery & Bowhunting Supershow. At the Supershow, attendees can explore products from hundreds of the industry's top brands, get hands-on with the latest equipment and connect directly with the companies behind their favorite gear. Then they can put their own skills to the test on the 3D range.
