Sparta, Wisconsin – Team Mathews finished out the IBO season this past weekend competing in the IBO World Championship located in Canaan Valley Resort State Park, WV crowning three world champions and claiming four podiums overall.
Team Mathews shooter Brady Myers led the charge, taking first place in Pro Men's (PMR) and capturing his first World Championship title after an incredible 2026 season. Becoming a World Champion has been a goal of Myers' since he first picked up a bow at 13 years old, and that dream became a reality with his Mathews TITLE 40 in hand.
"I put together a very clean round this weekend with only one 8, that gave me a 5pt lead going into to the shootoff Saturday," said Myers. "I shot well and held on to the lead. Couldn't have drawn up a better way to end the 2026 season."
In Pro Women (PRF), Team Shooters Sharon Wallace and Cara Kelly both produced outstanding performances claiming 1st and 2nd place. Wallace shot an overall score of 504 and 18 X's to take home the Pro Women World Championship. Kelly followed closely behind finishing with a 502 and 19 X's.
For the first time in 24 years, Team Shooter Jack Wallace was able to find his way back to first place in Pro Senior (PSR) and claim the World Championship title for Team Mathews. After a roller coaster of an event, Wallace has found his way to the top after a "closest-to-the-center" shootoff where he secured the victory.
"The IBO World Championship was an incredible way to close out the season," said Derek Phillips, Mathews Pro Staff Manager. "To come away with three World Champions and four overall podium finishes is a testament to the talent and dedication of this team. They put in the work all season long and seeing that effort pay off on the biggest stage is something we're extremely proud of."
