Team Mathews Shooter, Kyle Douglas, captured 1st place in the Open Pro division at the 2026 Lancaster Archery Classic held last weekend at the Lancaster Archery Academy in Lancaster, Pennsylvania — securing Team Mathews' third indoor victory in a row.
The Lancaster Archery Classic draws top professional talent from around the world and features a rigorous format of 60-arrow qualification rounds followed by head-to-head match play and shoot-ups. The shoot-your-way-to-the-top grand finale offers every finalist the chance to take home the top prize in their division.
After advancing through qualification and elimination rounds, Douglas secured the third seed heading into the final round and ultimately sealed the victory by outlasting the field in the Lancaster Classic's iconic shoot-up format, where the event is ultimately decided one arrow at a time.
"Douglas' performance at the Classic was another example of exceptional consistency and focus on the target line," said Derek Phillips, Mathews Pro Staff Manager. "His ability to execute shot after shot under intense pressure reflects the dedication he brings to every competition and highlights the level of performance our team strives for in every event".
Fellow teammate, Bodie Turner, added to Mathews' success with a strong performance of his own. Tuner captured the second seed in the Open Pro division heading into the final round on Saturday. After going head-to-head with Douglas, Turner secured 3rd place claiming yet another podium finish for the team.
Team Mathews' success extended beyond the Open Pro division as Team Shooter, Tim Audus, secured 3rd place with another great performance in the Masters Open Pro division.
