America’s sportsmen and sportswomen generated nearly $1 billion in excise taxes last year that support state conservation programs. Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt today announced the disbursement of these funds, generated through excise taxes on hunting, shooting and fishing equipment and boat fuel to all 50 states and U.S. territories by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service).

The 2019 Muzzy Bowfishing Classic is officially in the books – marking the most successful turn-out in the tournament’s history. Competitors from across the country descended on Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville, Kentucky to bowfish the prime waters of Kentucky and Barkley Lakes, as well as the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers. In total, a registration record-breaking 93 boats hit the water eager to launch arrows during the July 12-14 event to help reduce the area’s burgeoning population of rough fish.

The Unsecured Creditors Committee in the USC bankruptcy has selected Emerald as their financial advisors. After an extensive review, Emerald determined that attempting a post-petition sales process through the bankruptcy court presented a unique opportunity for Companies either looking to get into the firearms distribution business or to expand current operations.
