On December 7, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) developed letters, signed by 35 wildlife conservation partners, urging House and Senate leadership to propose a package of legislation containing sportsmen’s priorities before the end of the 115th Congress this month.

“This long overdue action from Congress has virtually unanimous support from a wide range of conservation groups. We strongly urge House and Senate leadership to work together on a compromise for a sportsmen’s package, showing their dedication to millions of sportsmen and women,” said CSF President Jeff Crane.

During this Congress, CSF has worked diligently with Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) Members to introduce four sportsmen’s packages, each of which contain multiple provisions increasing sportsmen’s access and opportunities as well as supporting critical conservation programs. CSF submitted letters and testimony in support of these packages, which resulted in favorable Committee votes.

The lame duck session is the last chance to put sportsmen’s priorities on the President’s desk this Congress and CSF will continue to work with CSC leadership to ensure that the sportsmen’s voice is heard before the end of this session.
