The event raises money to fund various local projects to help pass along the hunting and outdoor heritage to future generations. QDMA-funded activities include free educational events, youth hunts, mentor programs, hunts for wounded veterans and veterans, Archery in the Schools sponsorships, Kids in the Outdoors events and more.

The buffet will begin at 6:30 p.m. The auction will feature many guns and hunting trips, including a New Zealand red stag hunt, South Africa hunting safari, Kansas pheasant hunt, Alabama quail hunt and Kansas deer hunt.

Tickets start at $42.50 per person for a "couple/buddy ticket" up to a corporate sponsor table for $800. Single tickets are $60, youth (ages 6-12) banquet-only ticket is $15, and age 5 and younger attend free.
