The new design on each site loads faster, gives more room to photos and videos, and features an improved commenting and "Answers" system to help readers learn from and chat with each other.

The sites' homepages feature a new layout that allocates more room to big stories: narratives with gorgeous photos, feature packages, and original video content.

"The purpose of the homepage has changed drastically in the 10 years since we last designed Field & Stream and Outdoor Life's sites," says Anthony Licata, Editorial Director of Bonnier Lifestyle Group. "Like most media brands, much of our audience comes to our content through search engines or social media channels. Redesigning our sites was a great opportunity to deliver our content in the most user-friendly format, no matter where the audience reaches us, as well as showcase our photography, artwork, and great stories with a high-impact, clean design."

The user experience of Field & Stream and Outdoor Life's sites has been revamped to feel more seamless: registered users will be able to log into both using the same account. Readers will also have the option to answer a few questions about how they hunt and fish when they first sign in, which will give the editors valuable information about the kind of content readers are looking for on the sites.

On both sites, navigation is funneled through the small menu located at the top left corner of the page; visitors will use it to find links to favorite blogs or to browse content by topic and tag.

Video content posted on social media will now be embedded, so that readers who don't have Facebook accounts can watch the great work both sites are posting there.
