The Firminator Makes Starting Large Food Plots Easy

One critical aspect of managing habitat on deer-hunting property is putting in the right mix of food plots to complement natural cover, bedding areas and travel corridors in order to produce big deer.

Food plots do just that. They not only attract deer, but they also keep them on your property and then give them what they need to grow into trophies. The right food plots will provide the nutrition the deer need and the crop palatability they want.

Large food plots play a critical role in providing enough food at the right time to support both doe groups and bucks in good numbers. But to put food plots in, you need the right equipment. The Firminator G3 is that equipment.

The Firminator G-3 comes in 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12ft. wide configurations that will get the job done quickly and efficiently. The Firminator combines a heavy-duty disc harrow, a true agricultural-grade cultipacker and a precision ground-drive seed system in one unit. Both the 6 ft. and 8 ft. and larger Firminator models are big enough and tough enough to handle large food plots.

It's a simple all-in-one system that discs the ground, puts the seeds in at the depth you choose, and then packs the ground to assure good seed-to-soil contact. It's everything you need to put in a food plot: You drive the tractor, the Firminator does the work.

Although the discs, seeding system and cultipacker are all in the single unit, the Firminator gives you the flexibility to run any part of the unit by itself (or simultaneously - whatever you decide). In some cases, you can disc, drop seed, and cultipack behind the seed in one pass. If, however, you are preparing ground that hasn't been worked in a while, you can adjust the discs to an aggressive angle and make more than one pass before seeding.

The pitch of the unit can be adjusted so the Firminator can be leaned heavily on the discs to provide a deeper cut. It can also be adjusted to a mid-range setting so that the discs and the cultipacker are both in contact with the ground, allowing the cultipacker to break down clods while leveling and firming the soil. Finally, the Firminator can be set so that the discs are off the ground, putting more frame weight on the cultipacker. Doing so, would be a great option for firming the seed bed before planting small seed, or to use in combination with the Accu-Seed system during the seeding pass to assure good soil-to-seed contact.

The heavy-duty discs can easily be adjusted to more or less aggressive angles, depending on the condition of the ground at the beginning of the process. The discs on The Firminator are set at 6-inch intervals, rather than the 7 1/2-inch spacing that is standard on most competitors' discs. That means The Firminator provides more cutting surface to break up the soil, and that means you don't need another machine to prep the ground before using the Firminator. The Firminator can be used to do everything from breaking the ground, to planting seeds, to sealing the planted soil. It will work under multiple soil conditions and the Accu-seed system will allow you to plant seed ranging in size from clover to corn.

The Firminator G3 is the equipment you need to handle any food plot on your hunting property. Easy to adjust, simple to use, tough as nails - this is the one piece of gear that is critical to managing your property to produce the best possible deer hunting.
