Sportsman Channel's 'Sheep Shape' Faces Mounting Uncertainty

NEW BERLIN, WI (July 27, 2015) – While Chad Hall, Patrick Scrogin and Rick Carone begin new adventures on the hunt for caribou, mountain goat and grizzly bear, Kelsie Burford continues the hunt for a mature ram in Alaska. Sportsman Channel's Sheep Shape showcases the hunters working to accomplish their high mountain hunting goals. This week, it is Burford whose grit and determination pushes her through her most intense hunting experience yet. Tune in to Sheep Shape on Thursday, July 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT exclusively on Sportsman Channel.

Every step counts through the treacherous Alaskan mountains as Burford struggles to find a legal ram within range. Her guide, Rebecca, continues to lead her through some of the most grueling high mountain hunting terrain, but believes their odds will increase if the team can hike up a dangerously steep mountainside. Once atop a ridge on the mountain, Burford's adrenaline kicks in as a mature ram awaits its unpredictable fate in the distance.

In the blink of an eye Burford is at the ready and her bow is drawn back. All that lies between the hunter and a dream come true is 65 yards of thin, bone-chilling Alaskan air. The odds are stacked against her, but a steady hand and the support of her husband, Johnny, and her guide, will – hopefully – make Burford's first ram hunt a successful endeavor.

"To have this opportunity to be up here with such great people – it's just great," exclaimed Burford. "I've been through so many things in my life and never in a million years did I think I would be up here on this mountain with people that supported me all through this. If you can dream it and if you are dedicated and motivated – you can do anything."
