Xpedition Archery Now Exclusive Archery Client of Applied Engineering

Applied Engineering Inc. announces Xpedition Archery as its exclusive archery client.
Yankton, South Dakota – Applied Engineering, the parent company of Xpedition Archery has announced that it will not be renewing external contracts to build archery components for 2016.
Tom Bohnet , the Owner of Applied Engineering Inc., and Devin Bakley, the General Manager for Xpedition Archery, indicated that while the archery contracts were profitable, the choice by Applied to dedicate 100% of Applied's archery machine resources to Xpedition Archery, are based on necessity.
Applied representatives also indicated that all of Applied's existing orders had been completed earlier this year in an effort to aid in the decision making process and allow client's to implement alternative sourcing strategies.
Xpedition Sales Manager, Blake Davis, said "2015 brought Xpedition Archery exponential growth, an expanded dealer network, and the necessity of additional personnel. It will be necessary to transition Applied away from servicing other archery clients until Xpedition is operating at full capacity. The growth has been aggressive and we see no indication that it will slow down in the immediate future." Bakley added "With growth in both businesses we have had the opportunity to increase our manufacturing operations into our lasted building expansion. Part of this expansion was the addition of $3.5 million in machining centers along with a more efficient layout of the archery assembly areas."
Applied Engineering first began manufacturing archery parts as an opportunity to develop alternative markets, showcase its 48 years of Aerospace manufacturing experience, and utilize excess capacity. The experience gained there led to the formation of Xpedition Archery.
