Cabin Fever Shootout Names Qualifiers for $200,000 Money Board Shoot

SHARPSVILLE, PA (April 14, 2015) – Three archers have qualified for the Cabin Fever Shootout $200,000 Money Board Competition to be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015. The event will be live streamed on www.CabinFeverShootout.com. Cabin Fever Archery and SCA Promotions teamed up to offer this amazing chance for one lucky shooter to win $200,000! In order to be eligible for this unique competition, shooters had to register online by December 15, 2014 to shoot in the first season of the Cabin Fever Shootout Indoor Archery Competition Series. Thirteen contestants signed up by the deadline. Only the top score from each class, Hunter, Advanced and Unlimited was considered to determine the final three eligible shooters. Although the archers could shoot more than once during the series, only their first posted score was considered as "Money Board Eligible".

Cabin Fever is proud to announce those three qualifiers. In the Hunter Class, Travis Weisz of Elwood City, PA signed up on December 15, 2014 and posted his qualifying score on March 8, 2015. Travis scored a 558. A total of eight shooters signed up in the Hunter Class by the deadline.
In the Advanced Class, Glen Thomas was the only one to sign up by the deadline. He automatically qualified. Thomas, of Mercer, PA signed up on October 28, 2014 and posted his qualifying Money Board score on February 22, 2015, with a 597.

In the Unlimited Class, Todd Lambright of New Castle, PA, qualified by shooting a 654 on March 7, 2015. Todd signed up to shoot on November 28, 2014. A total of four shooters signed up in the Unlimited Class by the deadline.

On Sunday, May 10th, these three shooters will be shooting at the "Money Board" at the Cabin Fever Shootout indoor archery range in Sharpsville, PA, during the series payout ceremony.

How the Money Board Competition Works
The "Money Board" will be placed 20 yards away and will have 300 numbered 5"x7" envelopes. To determine the shooting order, the qualified shooters will simultaneously reach into a bag with 25 ping pong balls, numbered 1-25. The shooter who draws the lowest number will shoot 1st, next highest will shoot 2nd, next highest shoots 3rd. Before shooting, each contestant must inform the tournament official which envelope they will be shooting for. Shooters cannot choose the same envelope. The competitor MUST hit the envelope they chose. If they miss, they do not get another chance. If the designated envelope is hit, the arrow and envelope will be removed before the next qualifier shoots. Each shooter will hold on to their envelope, until everyone has shot. Once the shooting is finished, the envelopes will be opened one-by-one, in the order they shot, to reveal the prize won. Every envelope will contain a prize. Prizes will range from a free entry into next year's event, to various amounts of cash. Only one envelope will contain the Grand Prize of $200,000. If the $200,000 Grand Prize envelope was not opened by the qualified shooters, the envelope will be located on the board and opened by the tournament official.

Cabin Fever Shootout Payout Ceremony
This Money Board promotion ran along with the Inaugural Cabin Fever Shootout Indoor Competition Series. The series began the first weekend of January, 2015 and will end on Sunday, April 26th. The Shootout is open to anyone who is age 18 or older and there is still time for interested archers to register and compete. So far, the competition has seen shooters of all levels, from several different states such as Massachusetts, Michigan, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and even as far away as Montana. The Unlimited Class already has scores posted by professional archers such as Jesse Broadwater, Braden Gellenthien (both Gold Medal winners in Men's Archery) and Kendall Woody. The shooters are to strictly follow the rules and enter into the appropriate class (Unlimited, Advanced or Hunter), based on their archery skill levels. Only certain equipment is allowed for the competition.

The top four shooters in each class will be officially awarded their payout and will be live streamed on www.CabinFeverShoout.com. The payout for this series is unprecedented and is unlike anything the archery competition world has ever seen. The payout for 12 shooters (4 in each class) will total $112,500. The shooter to post the best score in the Unlimited Class will take home $30,000. The winner of the Advanced Class will take home $20.000 and 1st place in the Hunter Class will win $10.000.

There are only two weekends left for shooters to qualify. Shooters can still register online at www.CabinFeverShootout.com to shoot on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, until April 26th, 2015.
