Team Hoyt Shooters Prevail in Louisville

Shooting the iconic NFAA 5-Spot blue-and-white target is along-standing tradition in the Midwest. The passion surrounding the challenge was more than evident this past weekend, as more than 1700 shooters showed up in Louisville, Kentucky to test their skills and equipment against the X-Ring in the second leg of the NFAA 3-Star Tour.

In the Men's Pro Division, there was no room for error. ReoWilde, Jesse Broadwater, Shane Wills, David Houser, Mike Schloesser, SteveAndersen and Jacob Phelps – all shooting for team Hoyt – trusted the accuracy and forgiveness of their new Hoyt Podium X Elites to punish the X-Ring all weekend long, finishing with perfect scores of 600 – 120X. After an intense shoot-off, Mike Schloesser, shooting the same Podium X he used to claim the Indoor World Cup Final victory and break the Indoor Fita World Record, outlasted his teammates to take the Championship Bowl home. Jesse Broadwater, who is no stranger to this NFAA shoot-off, gave Mike a run for his money and claimed second place.

Erika Jones, shooting her silver and green Podium X in the Women's Pro Division, punished the competition by shooting a perfect 60X 300 on Sunday, separating herself from the nearest competitors and claiming the title. This is Erika's third NFAA title in a row and fifth overall.

Hoyt Archery congratulates all the shooters who competed in Louisville this past weekend and wishes you luck at your next tournament.
