Wisconsin Crossbow Bill Heads to Governor

On Oct. 17, the Wisconsin Assembly unanimously voted to concur with Senate changes to the NRA-supported, pro-hunting crossbow legislation, Assembly Bill 194. AB 194 will now be sent to Governor Scott Walker (R) for his signature.

This long-awaited state legislation will allow hunters the freedom to use a crossbow if they choose during big game archery season. Along with other pro-hunting bills championed by the NRA like the Sporting Heritage Act, AB 194 will help increase hunter participation and preserve Wisconsin's rich hunting heritage.

Thank you to all state lawmakers who voted for AB 194 and to our members who contacted them in support of this pro-hunting reform. Please e-mail Governor Walker and respectfully urge him to sign AB 194 into law.
