BackLand's PROVIDER Series Breaks New Ground on Pursuit Channel
Luverne, AL (February 25, 2010) - BackLand Outdoors' ambitious new television project, PROVIDER, a sub-brand of the BackLand Experience, is a culminating television event for its producer and co-host, Scott Anderson. Current episodes see Anderson and his son, Chad teamed with native hunters in search of Quebec-Labrador caribou, where they discover the essence of hunting and gathering by people who thrive in the rawness of the Far North.

"In a word, the goal with PROVIDER is education," said the elder Anderson. "We want viewers to be inspired, to see it the way these native people do it... almost exclusively for the life-sustaining food and clothing hunting provides. The result is something very real, we think, and unique and, hopefully, captivating to an audience that appreciates the value of great cinematic storytelling, stunning locations and the inherent adventure of pure survival."

The BackLand Outdoors' PROVIDER series follows the exploits of Scott and Chad Anderson as this father-and-son team interacts with unique hunting cultures around the world. They accomplish their educational mission by imbedding with local hunters, whose actions supply life-giving necessities. With global scope, PROVIDER takes viewers inside the techniques of remote hunting cultures and transverses the incredible biospheres that these people roam.
